CHAPTER 4.00 - CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

4.24 Student Performance Standards

(1) The Sunshine State Standards as adopted by the Florida State Board of Education are adopted as a part of the School Board Policy of the Dixie County School Board. A copy of these standards shall be provided for parental review as requested. 

(2) Qualified students shall be provided an opportunity to receive instruction in the Sunshine State Standards in those courses in which the individual standard is an appropriate instructional objective. 

(3) For those courses which would normally provide instruction in certain individual standards of excellence but lack sufficient enrollment or demand to be offered as a part of the secondary instructional program, qualified students shall receive an opportunity for instruction in those particular Sunshine State Standards by participating in Dual Enrollment and enrolling in appropriate courses at the community college level.
