4.21 Sale Of Textbooks

(1) New textbooks which are unused and in current adoption may be purchased by the public from the Board’s textbook depository at the net wholesale price paid by the state f.o.b., the Florida depository or the publisher.

(2) If used textbooks are available, they may be purchased from the textbook depository at the following rates:

80% of the original cost to the district if used one (1) year;

60% of the original cost to the district if used two (2) years;

40% of the original cost to the district if used three (3) years;

20% of the original cost to the district if used four (4) or more.

(3) The following legend shall be stamped in each book which is sold: “This book has been sold by the State of Florida and the ownership label herein is no longer valid.”
