2.18 Superintendent's Compensation

COMPENSATION – The Superintendent’s total salary shall include:

(1) The amount prescribed by Section 1001.47, Florida Statutes, and

(2) A supplement of $2,000 for successful (passing) completion of the Certification Examination as prescribed by FASL. The full amount of this supplement shall be awarded during the fiscal year in which the institute is completed. Proof of certifications shall be provided by the FASL. And;

(3) Not withstanding the preceding subsections, the Board may, by official action, establish the Superintendent’s base salary at a rate above the prescribed for a given fiscal year in (1) above.

(4) In-county travel will be provided to the Superintendent. In-county travel can be provided by the use of a school owned vehicle or reimbursed mileage at the rate provided at the current timeframe. This decision will be decided by the School Board with input from the Superintendent when the Superintendent is newly elected.
