CHAPTER 1.00 - DISTRICT PHILOSOPHY

1.02 Scope of the School District

(1) The Dixie County School Board is the governing body of the District and is responsible for the control, operation, organization, management, and administration of public schools in the county pursuant to the provisions and minimum standards prescribed by Florida Statutes and State Board of Education rules.

(2)The Dixie District school system is part of the state system of public education and includes all public schools, classes, and courses of instruction and all services and activities directly related to education in the District which are under the District school officials’ directions.
